Agriculture is not just a way of life. It is an industry that shapes this country and affects all of us, each and every day. Without it, we would not survive. Without it, America would not be the country it is today. Here in our country, we are beyond blessed to be able to go to the grocery store whenever we want and have access to a variety of safe, plentiful food. Unfortunately, there are many today that do not understand this. They do not understand that we rely on less than two percent of the population to feed us; most of which are of older generations. They do not understand that without agriculture, we would literally be naked and hungry. This is what motivates me to do what I do. Agriculture is my passion. Farmers are my heroes. I am motivated and committed to serving the agriculture industry by educating the public, promoting ag products, “ag”vocating every chance I get and by being a voice for our farmers and ranchers. Growing up on a dairy farm in a rural community, being surrounded by a family full of farmers, being an active member of 4-H and FFA and choosing to attend Missouri State University in Springfield to study agriculture have all provided me with a strong agricultural foundation by which I am so blessed to have. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in agricultural communications in May of 2012 and my master’s degree in the same area of study. I currently work at Garage Graphics & Visuals in Springfield, MO and work as a freelance writer in addition to my blogging. Being raised a farm kid, growing into a woman who is passionate about agriculture and now a proud farmers wife, I seriously feel like the luckiest person alive. God has truly blessed me beyond measure! I have no idea what my future holds, but what I do know is that I will be proudly striving to spread the word about the importance of agriculture, as well as getting farmers/ranchers the respect they so deserve.
Thank you for visiting my page!
And we all are lucky and blessed to have you around!
You are so inspiring!
Awwww thank you!
Keeping on “ag”vocating! I wish I had a gift for communications because I see so much today in the media that downplay everything that the agriculture industry does! We need more people like you!
Thank you so much! I will definitely do my best to let agriculture’s voice be heard and to be a voice for all of our farmers!
